Naze?! Nani?! Fuzakenna! (The Lowdown on the Site)

I hope someone gets this...

Normally, I don’t like to have “this is what is up with my blog” posts (yet they keep happening) because I am fundamentally hopeless when it comes to following plans, however there is SO much stuff going on here on Fuzakenna that I feel it’s necessary for my sake as well as the reader’s to sort out just what the hell is going on here.

You may have noticed that I have a shit ton of post series going on, and it’s hard to tell if I’ve given up on some or when or why they come out. So let me try to clarify.

Don’t Fuck This Up – This series took off at hyper-speed with me having made a post in it every day for 23 days, and then it suddenly slowed down. This was my intent from the beginning – I wanted to get the series really rolling from the beginning, which is why I took on such a huge post series right from the beginning. The series is still going, but it will probably be reduced to one post every 2 weeks or so and there definitely won’t be more than one post from it in a single week. This is largely due to the fact that I have to rewatch a lot of shows to complete those posts and need the extra time to do so.

Diary of an Anime Lived – I only have about 3 more posts for this series because of it’s very nature, so I’ll really be doing them at whatever time I am emotionally prepared to handle them. I do hope to see more of these posts from everyone else, though!

Kuuchuu Buranko (Trapeze) is the only current show that I am still definitely blogging. It was fun to blog the first three episodes of Railgun, but I just can’t keep up with it. The posts take forever to make and that’s only after I actually get around to watching the episodes (plus, I wasn’t really getting any kind of response to the posts). I may continue to blog it sporadically along it’s progression, but not weekly. As for Space Pirate Captain Harlock, I will be blogging it pending on Anime Kritik‘s posts.

I am still blogging Revolutionary Girl Utena! i fully intend to blog every single episode of this show! Even if it takes me over a year to finish it! Incidentally, this series of posts will probably be counted as a part of The Epic Journey. I have a lot of posts likely to be forthcoming from The Epic Journey because I happen to be doing a lot of rewatching/completing of my favorite shows lately.

The reason for all that rewatching/completing is that I intend to do a 10-part series of posts listing my Top 100 Favorite Anime. I’ve more or less solidified the series that will be included in the list, but there a number of series (something like 50) that I want to rewatch before placing definitively. So long as I am rewatching my favorite shows, you can expect many posts on them.

On another note, you probably haven’t heard about it, but I have joined a blog on the side called Suspended Animation Dreams, run by my close personal friend MetalSonic700 (and we are accepting new authors if you’re interested!) I will be blogging the monthly releases of Soul Eater and Manga no Tsukurikata there as well as The Rabbit Reich‘s releases of Gun Frontier. I also intend to move portions of my Highlights page over to that blog where I feel it to be appropriate.

If my blog starts to slow down dramatically this month, it is for a few reasons. For one, I intend to participate in this year’s NaNoWriMo. For two, I have an incredibly busy couple of weeks coming up. And for three, I am still a college student. So in simple terms, here’s exactly what you can expect from my in terms of posts coming up:

– Don’t Fuck This Up every 2 weeks or so
– Trapeze episodics on either Monday or Tuesday each week
– Epic Journey posts (including Utena episodics) as I deem them necessary
– Captain Harlock posts pending on Anime Kritik’s posts.
– Monthly posts on soul Eater, Manga no Tsukurikata, and Gun Frontier over at Suspended Animation Dreams
– My 100 favorite anime coming (relatively) soon!
– All of the other random ass post ideas I tend to come up with whenever I have time

  1. NaNoWriMo sounds awesome! Seems like it would be a fun thing to do with a couple of friends also interested in writing. You could even screw with them, like going over to their place at midnight (writers don’t write during the day, right?) and distract them with video games or anime or something. Wait, substitute ‘writing’ with ‘homework’ and suddenly I’m back in college! Aaaaah, nostalgia.

    • hehehe. Yeah, it’s a pretty social thing for some people. I, however, have never done it with anyone, and have failed the last 4 years. I’ve never written more than 2 or 3 pages.

Which is, incidentally, how much I have now, at the end of day 2!

  2. Good to know where you’re at. I have another Diary planned, though I’m not sure when it will be net-worthy.

    Good luck with NaNoWriMo, too.

  3. Wow, I admire you for having so much going on with your blog and being able to keep it all up =D I plan to do my top favorite anime eventually though I’m not sure when.

I remember how busy college could be so I totally understand -_-

Well anyway, keep up the great work.

  4. This is why I can never, ever keep up with blogging schedules. It gets way too complicated, and it would probably force me to stop watching anime. And if I do both, I get the feeling it’ll stop me from sleeping.

Seriously though, good luck with all of this. I have an inkling of an idea for a Diary post, but I can’t be sure for a little while longer.
