Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-chan Episode 1 – A Little Better Than Your Average Fanservice Show and Even if the Piss Fetish is a Little Awkward

Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-chan is a pure fanservice comedy anime with a style similar to the likes of Macademi WAsshoi, Moetan, Asu no Yoichi, or Kanokon. That said, it is very aware of itself as such, and for being what it is, does a satisfying job of good, fun entertainment for those of us with lower standards.

MAZE OF THE HAZE! Test Drive – Weird Shit that Central Park Media Left Behind

I’m going to go ahead and guess that you haven’t seen Maze the Megaburst Space, and if you have, you are probably very excited that someone is actually talking about it. It’s one of those shows that aired in the 90s and got licensed long ago, but largely forgotten to the point that it’s scarce fans don’t even bring it up anymore, even if they probably really enjoyed it. No Name hasn’t even seen it – that’s how you know it’s fallen under the radar. And I wouldn’t have seen in either, were it not for some folks in the Amazon marketplace trying to get rid of some stock.

Artist Highlight: Hironox – Dark, Moody Red and Blue (kira~*)

This is a great victory! I finally found a damn pixiv account! However, better still, one of the links on that account led me to something even more awesome – a Drawr account. I had never heard of this until now but it took me all of 10 seconds to figure out this is an artist version of Twitter! It’s got an RSS feed too, which is extremely awesome as I won’t have to remember to go check their profile every so long. Hironox seems to use it to post speed paints, as they are mostly quite rough, and his more complete works are posted on pixiv. For those of you not up for navigating a Japanese site, here’s a booru link. Anyway, here are some of my favorite Hironox works.

Chara Design of the Week: Kawazoe Tamaki from Bamboo Blade

At first and maybe second glance, the Bamboo Blade character designs aren’t anything special. And they aren’t, really. Body-type wise, they are pretty much templates. The hairstyles are just the usual stuff with the usual strange colors. The faces reflect the personalities of the characters. In other words, it’s pretty standard anime fare. However, it is in some of those standards that Kawazoe Tamaki stands out.

Look! The East is Burning Red! <- Obligatory G Gundam Post Title

WARNING: Major G Gundam spoilers throughout.

Fists, Burning, and Allenby - My G Gundam

Fists, Burning, and Allenby - My G Gundam

When a post is made about G Gundam, it’s pretty much a given that it’s going to be about manliness, epicness, and TONS of awesome catchphrases (or perhaps analysis on said manliness). After all, that’s what makes G Gundam one of the most fuckwin anime around and a definite addition to my favorites list. However, I hate to repeat things that I’ve read a thousand times, so I’m going to go on about the less-mentioned parts of G Gundam – namely, Allenby Beardsley. But first, I need at least a quick paragraph to get all the manliness out of my body.
